HOLE LEE SH*T.
This book may have been the most surprising, grossest (and I don’t just mean the gore but there was plenty of that), and scariest books I’ve ever read.
Summary - Fort Bragg Cartel investigates allegations of a network involving U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers in drug trafficking, violence, and cover-ups at Fort Bragg. The investigation was reportedly sparked by the 2020 murders of two special operations soldiers allegedly involved in drug dealing and trafficking, highlighting broader issues of unexplained deaths and misconduct at the base.
My husband had heard about this one and suggested we read it together. My only prior knowledge was it is where my father was stationed for a short time for Operation Desert Storm but that was in the early 90s.
When we started it, we were shocked. He went X (whatever Twitter is called nowadays) and saw the author Seth Harp being harassed by tons of military claiming his book to be full of BS, unfounded, made up and that people should not read it. Well, if we’re told not to read a book, what does that make us want to do? I hope this book gets into more hands because it is despicable and more of us should understand what is happening inside our military organizations.
Have you heard of this one? I highly recommend it – we primarily listened, I had the physical to go back to certain parts that went over my head/see the photos. Thank you so much @prh for this listening copy.
