Hi. I’m Toni Rocchetti — copy editor, developmental editor, and the person behind this site. I want to be upfront about how this website handles your information, because you deserve to know.
The short version: I collect very little, I don’t sell anything, and I’m not doing anything with your data that would surprise you.
What information is collected
When you use the contact form If you reach out to me through the contact form, I receive your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. I use that information to respond to you — that’s it. I don’t add you to any mailing list, and I don’t share your details with anyone.
When you visit the site This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people find and use it — things like which pages are visited, how long people spend reading, and what devices they’re using. Google Analytics collects this data using cookies and may record your anonymized IP address.
I use this information to make the site better. I don’t use it to identify you personally, and I don’t combine it with any other data.
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies The only cookies set on this site come from Google Analytics. They’re used to distinguish visits and sessions — standard analytics cookies. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no social media cookies.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell your information. Ever.
- I don’t share your information with third parties, except as described above (Google Analytics).
- I don’t send unsolicited emails or add you to lists without your knowledge.
- I don’t use your data for advertising.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on Netlify, which may collect server logs including IP addresses as part of normal hosting operations. Their privacy policy covers what they do with that data.
Analytics are handled by Google Analytics. Google’s privacy policy explains how they handle the data they collect.
Your rights
If you’ve contacted me through this site and want to know what information I have, want me to delete it, or have any other questions — just email me. I’ll respond promptly and without fuss.
Changes to this policy
If I make meaningful changes to this policy, I’ll update the date at the top. This site doesn’t have a newsletter yet, so I can’t notify you directly — but the policy will always live at this URL.
